WOW...Sasha played a dark minimal set...would have loved to be there...could anyone ID any tracks he played that night..would be interesting to see what he plays out live now.

I also saw him play a while back and his setup crashed on him as well...a bunch of guys from his crew got up on stage with flashlights and starting searching behind all the wires, etc...and then Sasha moved a couple of knobs on his Maven controller and the music starting bumping again. I assuming this is a constant problem with Sasha and his setup.

considering that she said it happened during luke's set and not sasha's i'm not sure that i'd classify the problem as being "constant"

i've only read of 2 instances where his [sasha's] shit go fucked up. one in dc where the mac actually fell out of the dj booth and he had to mix on cdj's for the remainder of the evening, and then the one @ fundacion LA last year [on the recording].

"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge

oops...did a quick read..thought it happened to Sasha not Luke...my bad...but I've read other stories on other forums about his setup failing on him...I think it has happened more then a couple of times.

I saw sasha way back last april (06) at avalon. i didnt really appreciate it because it was literally when i first got into electronic music. also saw him i think at that Giant new years thing this year but dont remember much lol.... but i have a CD of him for fundacion at avalon and i love it! it is really down tempo but sometimes im really in the mood for that. i would love to see him again in a club setting. sounds like you all had fun for the most part.

So nice to see you too. Way to long.

Fun night. Didn't catch Luke's set much but Sasha was sick. From the first minute he set the tone. Had to leave around 3:00 though, my group were not the most enthusiastic EDM fans and wanted to split.

Man was it hot in there . . .

I was there with four friends and we had a blast.

I don't think I've ever been in belo when it was so hot, or so crowded. But the crowd was pretty respectful.

I told my friends to expect something trippier than we're accustomed to, and it definitely did not disappoint.

I liked the fact that the tempo was slow and never really sped up. Had to be 128 bpm or less. I was explaining to a friend that I thought the music would expand longitudinally rather than a lot of builds/breaks that you might othwise expect during "peak time." I'm not sure that that explanation makes any sense to anyone but me...

I wasn't really excited about going out that night, but knew it was very likely to be a show worth seeing, and Sasha did not disappoint. Luke's set was dynamite, too.

I checked the Realivze site, and it doesn't look like the next three shows are up my alley--maybe July or August will be better. I need time to rest up, anway.
