Midweek roadtrips are always so much fun.
My sis and I joined tobywan for a short little trip to Niagara Falls last night. We cruised by the falls in it's technicolour glory, had sangria at Hooters (!) and then the main event itself, an increasingly rare small venue appearance by Luke.
We were definitely among the first people at Dragonfly when we arrived (10:30 or so) but it filled up nicely and reached a decent crowd (~200 people) by midnight. The opening dj warmed the room well and Luke took over just after midnight with his trademark warm and funky style. The highlight of my night was Bent - Waiting for You (Howells remix) - the Niagara folk must have thought we were crazy, jumping up and down and grinning like fools over that one.
It was just fantastic to hang out with the sizeable TO contingent that attended, including one trooper who had a broken toe! Thanks to our friends for having us over after... see you guys tomorrow for Sander.
