Interesting read, though I can't help but feel the author was inspired by Ginsbergs "Howl", albeit with a focus on societal and material challenges. One is poetry, the other is prose, disillusionment it seems is the only universal constant.
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by
madness, starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn
looking for an angry fix,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly
connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery
of night...
Now there's a rant worth sinking your teeth into.
