I've been to several ERs before, with chest pains, and after 5 hour waits in agony, the so-called doctors failed to even perform a basic ECG; they basically gave me aspirin after a 5 minute "examination" and sent me on my way with a $500 bill.

The system is fucked up, and we put too much faith in our medical facilities.

Stop going to them then. There are plenty of people and places in this country practicing alternative medicine who you could put your faith into. I'm sure it'll probably cost less than $500 and be a lot quicker too.

I sort of had a simliar experience. I got rushed to the ER after my motorcycle accident (3 weeks ago). My collar bone's bronken in 3 places right now. They put me on a scretcher and then a bed somewhere for hours in an awkward positon (which is rather painful when you're got a broken collar bone), took some xrays, and pumped me with morphine about an hour after lying donw in pain. They sent me home with my arm in a sling, that's about it really. So, all they fucking did was take a few x-rays, give me some morphine, and put a sling around my arm and billed me of 536.something.

We like to fancy ourselves so advanced, yet our entire medical system is based around the poppy flower and basic common sense solutions.

i think the bigger question is what exactly caused your motorcyle to fall at basically free-fall speed? hope youre alright buddy!

looks like you coulda bought some heroin for that price! but there really isnt anything you can do for a collar bone.
