You don't want all that gear. Ableton live and a midi keyboard is good. Pads are quite unnecesary, on the keyboard or elsewhere. you probably do want some synths though, that'll give you the control you want. You can only go so far with loops...

If you wanted to go all out you could check out native instruments komplete, or they have some other bundles I think. Try and go with bundled stuff at this stage, it works out much cheaper.

You can make good music with FL studio alone. I don't see why you need to buy all that chit. A MIDI keyboard is good too, I just use my musical keyboard it has midi in/out.

You could make a decent production with some old 8-tracks, a pair of scissors, and scotch tape, if you were so inclined.

People are entitled to their preferences for tools of course, and there's no question that some improve productivity more than others, but the tools don't do the work, the producer does.

Okay I think im going to get a synthesizer and a midi keyboard. I won't go with the pad. I read the new Absynth 4 is really good. I just can't decide on a Midi keyboard? Can someone list some good ones that are priced pretty good.

Also, do you any of you know of mediocre-intermediate Ableton lesson websites or tutorial dvds or something of that sort?
