The show was so so. His mixing was off quite a bit throughout the night, and absolutely wrecked 2wice that I heard. He also played a couple very non characteristic tracks. I think he was playing to the crowd a bit.

That club was way to packed, no room to dance at all, everybody spilling drinks everywhere, there was not a single place in the club to just go and chill out.

was not a very fun night imo.

I agree it was way too packed last night but that's what happens when you have someone like Chris Lawrence playing. I actually enjoyed his set, loved the psytrance stuff pitched down it has a real groove to it. Was standing up front all night but didn't hear any mixes go off, there was some interesting mixes that he put together using psy elements, but nothing bad to report., just the opposite. Overall a great night, other than not being able to move on the dancefloor. Looking forward to tomorrow night at Vanguard.

josh ditto on that i mean he is my absolute fav dj but i think he wasnt really digging the venue i could tell since i was 3 feet from him the whole set he took a while to build up which isnt really like him and he looked kinda bummed when he walked in and then HIS 2 trainwrecks i almost had a heartattack bc he is top notch at mixing ive seen him about 5 times and never once have i heard him trainwreck and u could tell he was soooooo pissed he said FUCk if anyone saw that lol newayz vanguard shoudl be better...

Funny you mention that cos my friend asked him if he enjoyed the club afterwards and he said he was having problems with the sound in the booth, wasn't too keen on the setup. He's a stellar mixer IMO, if Chris Lawrence doesn't like the sound, you know somethings up.

he was clearly having issues with the sound. You could tell cause each time he would begin to bring in the next track he would pull his headphone out and make a strange face, and was second guessing himself nearly every time. Arash did not seem to be having the same issues, but i could be wrong.

but i always applaud the guy who hasnt moved to using ableton or something else that relieves him of the duty of matching beats and mixing

CL uses ear filters. maybe that is why he had problems mixing!

yeah, in the beginning I was really disappointed. He was definitely playing for the crowd..which I guess is good? haha. I too heard some mixing mistakes but he fixed them quickly I thought. Oh wells, can't wait til London. Who's coming with?
