I think producers are creating better trance tracks but there are a lot of remakes at the time, too much in my eyes... i think a producer must think his(her) own melody's and beats, not 'steal' from an old song then you better call it a REMIX!!!

Tell me how can you say that trance is dying when 4 of the top 6 DJs in the world still play trance! You sound pretty stupid if you say trance is dead! Look #2 Sasha #4 Paul Van Dyk #5 Oakey #6 Tiesto. Doesn't that say something. How can you actually say trance is dying.

trance has had some bad rap over the last few years due to loads of things like the sudden boom in Prog house etc...

I have known trance for only 8 months now and it has taken over my life. Only download it, workout with it, drive, chillout and have sex with it. So I hope it never dies, it I am sure will have changes maybe even for the better, I don't see how. From all the action I see on TranceAddict it looks like it still has a long life. I have noticed more house DJs come to my town rather than trance. Just a couple weeks ago Dave Ralph was performing things I didn't notice or that even sounded like him.

Trance will never die. It may and provable will evolve and blend in into other types of music but I am talking this not before 2010. But there will always be those unmistakable beats lying around some track or another.
This beat thing that trance has will always be present because it is part of human nature. We will always love this stressing sound that makes us jump up and down and dance for 5+ hours at once.
I once thought of night clubs as boxes filled with ants. If you shake the box they will all start crawling up the wall and moving desperatly. With us the results are very close, we love feeling the beats and moving accordingly with this new discovery which is Trance!

Well its being going very well now for quite a while, 2001 was a bit of a bad year, but judging on whats come out this year so far, I think it has got a very bright future still, it feels like 1998 all over again with all these tunes .

Just want to add one more thing as Dj O'Callaghan refreshed my memory. I must say that the years of 1998-2000 were unbelievable. Every single compilation and album that was coming out those years were perfect and I think it has a great deal to do with the fact that I know like Trance. Even the cheesy songs were great or have we forgotten about ATB and I think that even Razor and Guido's do it again is something to be remembered. From the same period we have gouryella - gouryella. Unfinished Symphony. Infected Mushroom bloomed with 3 CDS!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
