The thing with headphones is that they're not going to be helpful for an unexperienced producer, imo.
I used my AKGs when I started producing and my mixes sounded like crap.
Later when I got monitors I learned how to mix properly, and I learned how my mixes translate from the AKGs to my monitors.
Now I can mix almost entirely on my AKGs.
