I have played it quite a bit. Personally I prefer the Ore and wheat strategy. One might say clay and wood is the way to go, but imo only for the beginning. Three for one ports are your friend. I actually am not friends with someone b/c of this game. A bad fight happened during this game (he was a bit of a sore loser) and now we no longer speak. MSN games has a good ocmputer version.

I like the expansions. I prefer Seafarers and I cant stand Cities and Knights. Starfarers is even worse. The six player version of the original game is annoying.
