Ferry's set was fuckin awesome. Chaos did great too. Anyone got Ferry's set list? Would be much appreciated. |
The tracks I can remember hearing:
Ferry Corsten - Beautiful
Ferry Corsten - Fire (Vocal Mix)
Ferry Corsten - LEF
Ferry Crosten - Junk
System F - Insulation (Ferry Corsten Flashover Mix)
Gouryella - Gouryella
Coldplay - Fix You (Ali Wilson Mix)
Jose Amnesia ft Jennifer Rene - Louder
Breakfast - The Sunrise
Michael Cassette - Zeppelin
Mind One - Hurt of Intention
Ronnie Allstar - Good Morning Sunshine
Thrillseekers - Waiting for You
Also, pretty early in his set he played a track with Freddy Mercury vocals - essentially just the "Is this the real life?" line of Bohemian Rhapsody sampled a couple of times. It came out of nowhere and the crowd ate it up. I also think I remember hearing the new Dubfire tune too, not sure.
As for his set, I'm a Ferry fan, and I still thought it was mediocre. The only other time I've seen him was at Guvernment, which was incredible, so I might have had overly high expectations coming in. The first couple hours were kinda 'blah', although he managed to squeeze a lot of good songs into the last hour, especially when he dropped Gouryella - it might be cheesy, but c'mon, it's a classic.
Does the "Zombie Nation" track have a name? I was actually convinced that he was playing a mix of Kernkraft 400 for a while and couldnt stop myself from doing the 'sport chant' to it

all I could hear was boom, boom, boom...some epic build-up, then boom, boom, boom again...
Considering the fact that Vision's sound system cannot handle certain frequencies and amount of alcohol in me...boom, boom, boom never left my mind.
Euro-polish convention didn't make "boom, boom, boom" sounds any better but certainly contributed to un-deodorized Vision's ecosystem.
Ferry fucking sucked, in other words....and if any of you can't admit the simple fact of shitty commercial music being played - I have nothing left to say.

Goureyella - Goureyella - How many times do you hear this played in the club?
I think he played a lot of variety to satisfy everyone

Firsty, the sound system at Vision is just fine. I was standing on the VIP balcony and heard everything clearly. I suggest next time you stand more than 2 inches from the speaker stacks.
Secondly, If you don't like the crowd at the venue, don't go.
Thirdly, If you don't like the DJ, don't show up to his fuckin set!!! I don't go to see DJs I don't like and I sure as shit don't pay to see them.
Edman6796 was right in saying he played a good variety. I saw Ferry at Crobar last year and I thought that set was amazing but the one he laid down on saturday blew it away. Half the tracks he played are still unidentified. How the hell is that commercial?
Oh and btw, if you don't like Ferry you may want to change your avatar
