Saw him at Timewarp few months back and it was crazy. He closed down the party. Timeslot: 12h till 14h in the afternoon.

What a set, mimimal, some electro influences here and there and a lot of neo-trance. One of the best sets I heard since a long time

Hey guys, thanks for reviving the thread. I might be wrong, but I don't feel like Im in the minority of people who are like wtf is he doing. I hate to keep going back to this, but after Balance came out there was so much hype about him and the potential he had. To me, it seems like he hasn't even come close to living up to that potential. Sure, like someone pointed out he has produced a handful of really interesting tracks since then, but I have yet to hear a set from him in the past 2 years that I give repeat listens.

What is Neo-Trance? Cite some specific tracks as examples.

Never even heard of the genre before.

cool, Ill try to hunt that one down. Now when you say 'genuinely living up to his potential', would you agree that over the past couple of years he really hasn't (at least not consistently)?

When it comes to studio work - productions, remixes, mix compilations - Holden is the shit! But when he spins live, he is not that great. It doesn't seem like dj'ing in a club is really his thing.
