Does the circle start flashing too?
This means it ran out of buffer memory and can't perform the spinback anymore.

They overdosed on spinbacks

I like a good spinback every once in a while, after a transition just as track 1 is about to be cut. They used to use em all the time back in the "rave" days but they seemed to have died out since - Save The Spinback

No, I mean I've tried all sorts of scenarios - and mirrored them on the 'working' deck. The behaviour is not the same. I think there must be a physical problem with some part of the platters sensor internally.
