Terms of Service denies moderation abuse by sharing user information (sharing IP adresses, email services, etc). The Privacy statement binds it.
SomethingAwful was in a bind for about 5 minutes when they posted private information about several banned users (the IP addresses) of several users who were found on another board conspiring to hack SA to retrieve transaction information (since they have their own store). Although e-lawyers were clammoring against Lowtax (the head admin) for "sharing personal information of members", I think it was waived off (or suppressed) by his "nigga threatened to break into my house so i shot him" defense.
If the original Sikrav was a legitimate account, one could also reek havok on the e-mail address he used to sign up. If there was a myspace attached to his profile, all the better for XSS attacks. |
All that needs to be done, in this situation, is for Swamper or one of the moderators to give his ISP a call, and report the offending behavior. Say bye bye to his internet access. Even funnier if he's doing it from work, as the sudden removal of internet access from a workplace (due to being reported for offensive behavior) would be quote difficult to explain.
Very simple
