I haven't had chance to deal with NA women yet. So that's why I'm asking, is the written article precisely describes a typical North American woman? A woman who lost her femininity part due to feminism revolution?

He is correct on one thing: American women are very cliquey, and so is American culture. Cliques and social networks are everything in this country. ali92 mentioned this too.

He is NOT correct that Russian/European women are more pleasant and easy-going. I find Russian women (at least those living in North America) to be very cynical, bitchy, and golddiggers, and there's a good reason for that - they grew up in difficult conditions and have evolved some rough tests for suitable mates. I actually find American women much kinder and easier to deal with.

And adopting the attitude of a bigot, you probably won't either.
I mean really, what is going to make you such wonderful companionship when all you do is wander into a social situation, pre-judging everyone there without giving anyone a chance to prove otherwise?

So you didn't even write that?
Never been there, never met anyone from that part of the world and already subscribing to the idea that the whole of the northern american continent is full of friendly fat girls which are apparently too average for the discerning male and nepotist unfriendly girls which are also apparently not enough for the average male because they're too discerning.
And you really think by dumping a load of copy-and-paste here you don't have anything to do with aside from a talking point to go off which doesn't contain the least bit of subjectivity, you're expecting people to take yourself seriously when all it contains is the absolute extremes of the north american social spectrum?

Very little of any society contains 'extremes'

True, we lost being treated socially and legally like property and chattel, being 2nd class citizens and all we gained was the opportunity to try and gain the same wages and a toehold on being being treated as equals.
You want to understand it, read up on what conditions and behaviour where like prior to the feminism movement in the 60's and you'll have your answer. This is not conjecture of personal subjective opinion, it's simply history and fact.

Simply put, I’m not materialistic, I’m not a workaholic, and the girls aren’t approachable to me, so what does America have to offer me exactly? Not much, I’m afraid.

What do you have to offer them?
You're not prepared to work towards a relationship on the guise that it's supposed just all fall in your lap and frustrated that you might be judged, just as you judge them without even taking off the blinkers that tunnel vision article has left you with.
Here's an idea, just stay where you are and read the internet, it's got all your answers seeing as you're too frightened to actually go somewhere and see for yourself or make up your own opinions as someone with intelligence would be capable of.

Lilith, how would you react to a random nerdy/geeky guy who seems nice walking up to you without ever knowing him AT ALL, approaching you to ask you for a date or whatnot? Would you give him a chance if you never knew him from a 'clique'?

Well straight off the bat without even meeting me, I'm apparently hostile, arrogamt, jaded, blase, bitter, frigid, superficial, super-picky, materialistic, condescending, pompous, high maintenance, self-absorbed, they have outrageously excessive dating requirements and they grossly overestimate their own attractiveness.
So, I shouldn't have to be concerned about that happening.

Edit- don't make this a personal thing. I don't pretend to speak for everyone, unlike some, I'm not so presumptuous...
You want to attack my side of the argument, go right ahead.

It's not THAT bad in the states. I'de just suggest being near a major city if you want any semblance of a nightlife.

I'de have to agree with intellectual difference. Though I havn't really had an intellectual conversation with a foreign chick, I find very very few of my female acquintances could hold up in a thoughtful conversation. All they care about is gossip, emotion (like my boyfriend did this and that), and drama inside their girlfriend clique (omg, that bitch!).

The artical does bring up an interesting point from my experience. I have travelled to SA,Europe, go to Mexico a lot to visit family, and have talked to a lot of people on my travels. I don't want to generalize, but the people who I have had a harder time approaching and having an interesting conversation with are Americans. It's very cliquey, people don't seem interested. I always get that vibe though with a lot of Americans, not all, but moreso than in other places.

I talk with random people sometimes I have no problem doing that. But sometimes I am just too tired to make convo and might not put much of an effort. But it doesn't mean I am not interested. Also, females in Russia talk to foreigners to a reason. They want out of Russia.

im actually very extroverted and always try to talk to those around me, and i'd definitely agree that women here in the US are in general very stuck up. im in college now and even there the girls will give you this weird look if you just go up and start talking to them...i can almost sense the anxiety and hostility that they have towards me just because they dont know me. i'd say out of every 20 girls that i randomly start talking to, perhaps 2 are actually friendly and will have a proper conversation with me, while the rest will totally freak out and try their best to get away or avoid any form of contact. lol an no im not super ugly or anything, my friends have had pretty much the same experience.

its really weird...which is why im seriously considering moving to europe after i graduate =)

That's why everybody likes to meet people from underdeveloped countries as they are far more lively, sexier and natural. and that's why i don't understand western type attitudeism and enthusiasm. you always look up, but don't get it, 'cause it's fading away all the time.

most of western world is a sad picture. but it's covered by material well-being and gives better impression from the 1st sight. just subtract it and nothing is left.
