Generally I put max 2 tracks/remixes per producer for first hour, and 1 per every hour after.

Exception being you're a producer and you're pimping all your tracks

i don't like playing tracks or remixes by the same artists after each other. IMO it's kinda "the easy way out" as they'll probably go much better together than 2 tunes from totally different producers.
also playing too much from the same producer in a set might end up sounding a bit samey so i try to avoid that too.
but that's just me though.

+1
ull probably bore the crowd as well if u do it too much in a row

but its to DJ discretion and there are definitely tons of exceptions

Who cares man. I usually go

Artist A - Track Title
Artist A vs Artist B - Track Title
Artist C - Track Title (Artist B remix)
Aritst C vs Artist D - Track Title

It allows for some very smooth transitions.

exactly my thinking!

if it sounds good, doesnt make everything sound the same and you like it then who gives a shit wot anyone else thinks. of course, if this is for the purpose of a mix for u to listen to then it is a totally different scenario as to if u were playing in a club lol

conclusion: in ur house play wotever the fuck u like
