x2

It was the shittiest performance I have ever seen in a LONG time.

He must have been so fucking doped up or just drunk out of his mind, because if he was sober he needs to go shoot him self.

Every song transition was horrid, and countless times were the two beats playing mis matched. A real disappointment since i was kinda looking forward to his set.

I know cedric gervais has his own electro version of it thats not out, but im pretty sure its not the one that Hernan played though...

Oakenfold's beats were no worse than an up-and-comer learning. I was all over the place once we got in.... we had the slowest security line in the world and no one really knew why except that they only had one person checking in the line.

Overall this was the music part of my night:

Groove Junkies -> GREAT set... continue to watch these guys spin. Hell Om Records has to be one of the coolest labels to bounce around the scene ever imho.

John B -> Man... I actually really enjoyed his set. Lots of fun odd D&B tracks going on in it and I thought it was great when he dropped an Electo House track and all the DnB crew was lost!

Marcus Intalex -> Kinda bored me after John B's just overly "fun" stuff. Lots of Liquid... and I have kinda grown tired of constant MCing. I don't mind an emceeing doing his thing... just not constantly.

Paul Oakenfold -> Good tracks... amateur mixing skills but what can you do when you are deafened? Maybe he should visually mix on Serato or Final Scratch or something?

Deep Dish -> Caught the beginning and the end. Good tracks, fun mixing, good set. PATT Remix to close was an odd mix imo, just like killed the track for me. Say Hello to open was good though. I think they also dropped Axwell - I Found You (Remode).

Pendulum -> I'm mixed about their set. The beginning was great, but the point where the did MC Dino's Bday wishes the set lost me. I thought I'd recognize more tracks than I did too.
Edit -> After cruising some dubplates on the net I found one track they played: Shock One - Shock Resistence. This is along with some other Pendulum tracks like: Blood Sugar, and a couple from the album that I can't recall atm.

Hernan Cattaneo -> HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT for me. Maybe it was the PATT Remix right before him that started to make me wonder where it was headed. I'm not into that kinda Progressive I guess. It just dropped all the energy and made all of my group sleepy. LOL. Until the last 3 tracks, I just kinda listened and moved my butt to keep busy. I also wish he would have stopped at 2:00 instead of 2:30. I was just done with him earlier because I didn't feel the vibe moving at all. The music just didn't take me anywhere! Last 2 tracks were: Bedrock - Heaven Scent (Original Mix) and Pryda - Armed. Had he played tracks like that the whole time... I woulda eat it up. Unfortunately... I could not ID one other track in that set. Great technical skills though.

Above & Beyond -> What should have been the highest point of the night for me turned into the worst. I've got so much shit on my plate lately that I'm testy... I got tired of people bumping into me constantly and not saying a word. Ultimately... when Air For Life started... I was pissed and walking away because of comments made to me by my girlfriend. So much so that I almost just told my group to go home and I would find another way. My relationship could have ended that night if it hadn't been for Josh getting her to come talk to me.

All in all I had a fun night... have no voice after all the smog and smoke in the air. Anticipation is rising for Monster Massive. Practically the same lineup as last year... well.. I don't care... it's a good lineup. Though I do think that they need to switch up who is at various events some. Great work though Insomniac. Great visuals and lighting work too.

John B is "Electrostep" so its mostly electro with DnB influences, some DnB and some Electro House.

I go to Miami 3 times a year. I've been to the last 7 Ultras, you may see a handful of nekkid chicks, but not the majority, and def not that young. I hope the style changes soon, its just not right. But I appreciate a guy thinking it was a bit overboard. thxh

hernan was the man

all i gotta say is, thank god that HALF OF DEEP DISH played some sick shit. that minimal shit was deep and driving, loved it. only a few of the cheesy tracks played by the other half of deep dish caught my attention. but come on deep dish, lets cut out the cheese like "say hello" before i fuckin say goodbye.

anyway, when Hernan Cattaneo came on, he has one of the most well defined and mature styles in the DJ game in my opinion and this night at EDC was no different. His whole set flowed, especially when he fuckin dropped Olivier Giacomotto - Gail in the O, that shit hit so hard!!! loved it!...

i was curious to hear Above & Beyond, but they played the same tired stuff.

Sandra Collins was SIIIIIICK loved her set, that all i gotta say about that

paul oakenfold? the biggest fuck up of the night. congrats oakey!!

but anyway, HERNAN MADE THE WHOLE NIGHT WORTH IT! and oh yeah, so did all the lovely looking sluts that came out that night.
