He pretty much dropped all the hard banging techno. That set is pretty much a reflection of what he's playing now.

Ya, Clovis doesn't know what he is talking about.

Mauro started playing minimal way before everyone else jumped the minimal bandwagon. Like Woody mentioned, that is why we made the "HARDER" signs.

Yeah, he's been rockin' minimal for a while now. There isn't a lot of hard techno being made nowadays, so most of the hard techno DJs -- Liebing, Beyer, Rush, Picotto, Speedy J, Mistress Barbara -- had to come up with new stuff to play in their sets.

This set is fucking great btw.

Here is a direct link.

I have a few of the sets in this thread from 04/-5 and I never heard much minimal.

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...ghlight=Picotto

Lots of techno still, Speedy J, Liebing, and Deetron.

His set from Aria in 04 is pretty sick!

Maybe he played minimal at Avalon when you saw him

Damn Clovis, thank youuuuuuuu, for that link with all the sets! Ya, that Aria set is sick, but not nearly as hard as he used to play. I mean he used to be fucking HARDDDDDDDDD, harder than Liebing and Dave Clark. That Aria set and other sets around that time were pretty mellow compared to his stuff from back in 2001-2002... that's why we made the harder signs.

I'm pretty impressed with this Essential mix though. He is a little harder than he was a year ago. I have to burn a copy to listen to it better in my car.

And no, he played pretty fucking hard when we saw him at Avalon, and a lot of his classics (thanks to our signs). I was dieing inside (in a good way), lol.

lol, I was just saying that "mellow" compared to what he used to be still isnt this kind of minimal.

I havnt listened to this EM yet but unless he pitched every track up +6 it still looks pretty chilled.

Walk Music?! Great track, but its like deep house!
