Never has been mainstream, never will. Ever.

Did you just say that KvA and Jonas Steur are mainstream? You do know that we're talking mainstream in terms of all music, not just EDM, right? They're "mainstream" to EDM, but I challenge you to walk downtown in a bustling city and ask 200 people if they've ever heard of those artists. Basshunter, as well.

The only real mainstream act there is Daft Punk.

Edit: Unless, of course, you were talking about lyrics. If that is the case, though, then my previous point still stands. I've not heard meaningful lyrics from them.

Daft Punk and meaningful lyrics? Well I see edm as a science, lyrics are just an asset to bring life to a lifeless track most of the time. To be honest I dig some vocals, not because they make sense but because they just sound good.

Oh yeah Tiesto is probally the best when it comes to mainstream trance(Alot of people know him in america) Though its still not enough imo

if cascada,Lasgo,IVD,DJ sammy got popular in america maybe Electronica could have a chance like stated earlier in the thread(i may not like them but like i said it could be a start)

Actually when I told the last few 50 people that asked me what concert going to and I was so excited about and I told them 'DAFT PUNK' all responses were "dont know him" or "is it a rock band?"
