Yet another elaborate money making scheme to entice young DJ's to part with more of their hard earned cash in the hopes of marketing themselves more.

If a DJ wants people lo listen to a mix, they can simply upload it and post the link on various forums as most do just now.

i think that's a little unfair. obviously he's aiming for more serious podcasts with a need for technical stability with that premium price

Yeah maybe a little bit harsh there!

I'm not telling bedroom DJs "this is what they need to do to get noticed", this is very much more aimed at DJs who are already playing out and want to add another tool to their self promotion, or just have fun presenting a podcast... and as I also said, it's not just aimed at artists, this is equally aimed at labels & promoters - people with more of a capacity to fund and then earn from running a podcast.

And yes, DJs can (and do - myself included) just upload the mix, post it on a messageboard and hope some people download it, but if you run your mixes as a podcast then you get the added benefit of your existing fans automatically finding out there's a new mix, rather than you having to try and hammer the promotion every time to make sure the people you want to hear your mix find out... and it was just a suggestion, you wouldn't even need to use my system to do that - as has been mentioned, there are various free ways to do it.

So no, I'm not just trying to squeeze money out of young DJs
