HAHA what is so funny is that before the event everyone was getting pissed there were other artists with armin and it wasnt purely armin only. Now people are pissed rank 1 didnt play longer. It is rare to see a amazing 6-8 hour set from a single dj. I say 5 is peak for one dj on average.

Beer was $8 and water was $7, it was a total rip off. I try to avoid Giant and Insomniac events. These people do not know how to organize an event.

Water, and beverages in general, are essential to the health of everybody attending the party. That is a fucking ripoff.

I think it's more Giant than insomniac. Edc etc, water was 3 bucks. Giant NYE and Gaint Village last year the water was expansive 6 bucks i believe.

I ended up paying $13 for a long island iced tea but it didn't seem to have any coca cola in it... oh well.

I had a great time although the hearing in my right ear is gone because I was next to the line array on the right side but my left ear is almost fine. I actually saw heat waves generated from the subwoofers! That was nuts!!!

Someone was wearing this really cool shirt at the very front of the stage that had the audio bars (green, yellow and red) going up and down to the beat of the music when it was hit by the lights. I don't know if it was a glow in the dark shirt but it was so cool!!! Anyone know where to get those shirts???

I though, those Giant people did a good job of organizing the event. You clearly can't please everybody I suppose.

They did a great job. But the water price is criminal. When you have people dancing for hours, water is essential. To take advantage of people like that is really shitty. When it becomes a better deal to buy VIP just for the water, there's something really screwed up there.

I can understand that drink sales are pretty important to the bottom line and that with the EDM crowd, you don't get the alcohol sales that you get with a different crowd. But to jack up the price of water that much in order to make up the difference is crap and a big fuck you to your guests.

I bought my general admission ticket on wednesday for $55 after fees. I got to Giant and decided to up grade to VIP for another $50. That was the best $50 I spent in a long time. I got in the door in 2min flat (compared to 45min last year, more on that in a sec). I got a gin and tonic right off the bat, two rum and cokes a few minutes later ( i was thirsty okay), followed by a couple more gin and tonics and a couple waters all with minimal waits in line and no more than a tip to the bartenders as payment. Right there I made up the cost of my VIP addition. I walked out into the crowd and went to a non-vip bar and they said a well-gin and tonic was $10, holy crap!! 7 waters later I was ecstatic with having bought the VIP. Unlike last year, they never ran out of water either. The bathroom lines werent crazy insane like last year either which was great. The ticket setup was great once you new where to go. 3 levels deep in the Sheraton isnt the most obvious spot for will-call tickets, but there was 0 lines even at about 8:45. Maybe it was because you had to walk down several flights of stairs to get there.
