I'm not even a Mac fan-boy as I still work for Microsoft, but I do prefer the usability features in a Mac to a PC, hands down.

what problems? i've never have any problems with a PC (seriously). I did graphics on a mac and it was really fucking slow, shit would crash, it took much longer to do what i wanted, windows would constantly minimize and disappear, i was using one button mouse which is even more fucking annoying.. it took much longer to render stuff that i did in video or 3d, i don't understand the hype + they are much more expensive, whats the point?
macs are useless and overrated.

(I'm not even going to talk about how shitload of programs and formats are not supported on a Mac and you are forced to use limited software you are provided with)

I will go with geroin for this one, I used photoshop with the mac and it blows compared to the windows version.

Force quit, yeah been there, done that... but that doesn't mean anything, it still crashes.

I would recommend a mac to my mom but thats about it, there's way too much limitation with them.

Some questions:

- why won't safari take up the whole screen when I maximize it using the button at the top left of the screen?
- is it possible to create a shortcut that deletes entire words at a time instead of individual letters/characters?
- how can I import the organization that I have on my other installations of MSN messenger, or is that not possible?
- What is the best way to connect this laptop to my other laptop to transfer files? I have an 80gb ipod, would that work (well)?

I'm sure I will have more questions but some help with the above would be a good starting point and very much appreciated!

- becasue the dock is at the bottom? i always thought that was why.

i've used it for 3months and its so fucking frustrating to get shit to work that takes 2 seconds to do in windows. Also its not stable at all, the computers we've had in Mac Labs would fucking freeze everytime i used it, i call it the spinning circle of death that never stops spinning, no you can't ctr alt del, you have to restart losing all your work.

Personally I think it depends on your learning curve and expectations - I'm not expecting it to be just like windows. Obviously if you wanted something just like windows, by a PC based notebook.

I suspect shared computers, like those in labs, endure a lot of abuse. That might have just as much or more to do with the poor functionality you experienced.

r5a - the organization in my MSN list is basically friends/family/coworkers/etc where each contact is in one of those groups on my list, not part of one giant list.

When I logged into to MSN on my Mac for the first time, it automatically loaded like that.

I switch back and forth from Mac to Windows and haven't a problem.

Except one time, it 'deleted' all of my contacts whenever I would sign on to my Mac, and I couldn't re-add them because it said that contact was already your friend.

It worked fine on my PC laptop...after about a week or two, it fixed itself.

Weird
