I suppose one could make the argument that neither the restaurant itself nor the customers they were showing appeared to be of your typical "five-star" class. The restaurant looked like some dining hall in a church and the guests looked like their favorite place to take a date is either Applebee's or Olive Garden so they wouldn't know the difference between shit and heaven.
That said, I do think that a lot of what is at five-star restaurants is incredibly over-priced and can be found most anywhere. People will eat whatever bullshit they're fed (pun intended), so if big names tell them it's the best and it's dressed up fancy then damnit, it's the best.
