Torontonians out there, can you recommend me some bike shops to go to? Like great prices, people....

Any recommendations of bikes would be appreciated too!

Thanks in advance!

I got my bike at Gears in Mississauga (On Lakeshore, at the corner of Mississauga Rd and Lakeshore BLVD). The guys in their are super professional. The owner competes in the EcoChallenge every year, so you know these guys know their shit. Ive had nothing but great service from them. I took my wheels in for service once last year, cause I had a flat. They replaced my tube, and then I told them about a 'clicking' noise that my bike was giving me. They then proceeded to fix that too. The entire thing only cost me $5 CDN, and I was out in 10 minutes.

one of my friends step dads has been buying those since they first came out. he spends a shitload on them, more than he spends on his campers/RVs. nice bikes, but i def dont need one - plus id prolly just set the rear shock so tight it wouldnt do anything, i hate losing power like that, im all about acceleration! heh/

damn i didnt know GT went out of business...i like that one up there^

i had a Giant till i sold it about a month ago, was MAD... had best fun on it. Stacked a few times, but i wish i didnt sell it now... But u should look into Giant as well, they make nice bikes. Never been a big fan of GT, but Trek, cannondale, Giant, Iron Horse are all good brands.

Dont mainly go for the brand of bike, look at the components. Like Shimano Deore XT or XTR are like top of the range componenets which shimano make. If u can get hydraulic or disc brakes for that budget, a bonus, but dont think you would. V Brakes are in that budget. If u got any more Q's feel free to ask.

Hope ive helped, Ciao
