Supposedly the trend is that people grow to like house more and trance less as they get older. At least that's what I've heard people say about themselves around here.

hmm, maybe. i dunno about me though - house is good cos of the lyrics it tends to incorporate, whereas trance is good cos you can just bliss out to it and let it carry you. i reckon ill always have a special little spot in my heart for trance =P

me. I used to listen only to trance, tech, psy, uplifting asot type trance, whatever. But only trance. In the last year or two I've moved on to house and techno. I still like listening to trance, especially psy trance and older trance like Juno Reactor and Halucinogen and old Digweed and stuff like that but as far as DJing goes I'm firmly on board the tech house bandwagon.

house started back in the 60's i think.

house was the first genre that i really actually understood, and definately had a passion for.. it was actually what started me getting into and researching edm properly, which then took me straight to trance. i had liked it a while ago. but trance scene is SO small, its seriously perserverence to try and found out about it.

electro/trance,rnb(not edm - not ever again :P) - Trance - DnB/jung - Psytrance - industrial for a week :P - minimal

im listeing to some minimal stuff now.. It took a while to seriously find some thou. cool thing is i know i got a LOOng journey in front of me, making sure i enjoy every step dont think ill get into techno..

and dont think ill be getting back into house as no1 passion for a looong time.

That was probably true in some places before the Internet, but now that the net's here and trance is more popular, surely anyone who has a net connection and an interest in electronic music finds out about trance eventually.

I'm getting into House but still like my Trance just fine, just want a bit more funk, beats and kick to my music . If anyone can recommend some that would be much appreciated. I really like anything by Eric Prydz, like Ironmen and Shadows, or his remixes of Can't Remember or 1983. Anyone know any more good house producers for a newbie?
