Left around 9,guess I missed an hour of fun. But overall the night was amazing. And indeed people, that was one hell of a fucking set.

i may be the only negative person in here, but here goes:
Paul played too much techno and house, too many buildups some of which were delayed by two bars and confused the hell out of the crowd and then when the buildups came, everyone started jumping and the dust went up in the air, there were too many drunken meatheads who only cared to yell "yeaaah pee vee dee" from time to time (of course you can't do anything about that), the sound system was too loud with the highs (hurt my ears at times) and not loud enough with the mids, so combined with what he played, the music sounded like it was all the same, Paul was on the knobs too much - should lay off a bit from the low-pass filter
excellent lighting, nice of Paul to play "another way" (although a strange mashup), great attitude on Paul's part, nice video screens, i liked that he used a midi keyboard to play along with the tunes, glad i missed "time of our lives" if he even played it the second night, cool that he uses the same sony headphones that i do
maybe i'm picky, too old skool and did not realize what PVD was all about, but i was not satisfied, neither was my friend. we left early, just as it seemed Paul was getting into the "trance" part (played The Anthem, what a shit tune). overall, an amazing performance, but not worth the $60 and the 3hr drive. i did not expect him to play techno and it seemed like the set was pre-arranged in Ableton (is this the standard nowadays?)
one of the house tunes I recognized was Lange vs. Gareth Emery - Another You, Another Me (Terranova & Austin Leeds Remix), quality track, but i consider it to be more a filler than a set carrier.

fantastic set, drums were fucking AMAZING when they kicked in as for an angel started, the vocalists were ok. i liked the female vocalists better than the guys except for time of our lives, that was great. only problem i had was i thought the sound could've been much louder, but all together, he put on an awesome show and he reminded me of how much i do love trance. |
definetly sick set... right on spot all the tracks, definetly agre with the sound system, although the sound coming out of it was nice and crisp it did needed an extra volume level, actually i think they amped up the sound for the live performances...
best song of the night easily which nobody has mentioned yet was OUT THERE AND BACK!!!! such a long time without listening to that gem, still believe is one of the best songs ever to come out of pvd productions...
