Yeah but what I'm talking about isn't just occasional down days, it's something I've been experiencing for a few months now. I only have the occasional day when I'm particularly 'in the mood' for it.
It happens, particularily if you've exposed yourself to something exclusively for too long. I jumped from trance to prog rock myself and after listening to that for about half a year pretty much non-stop I'm slowly getting bored of that too, so now I'm slowly making my way back to EDM (though not particularily trance).
I wouldn't worry about it too much, just take a break and you'll get back into it sooner or later.
With such a great range of various subgenres, how can one become bored of EDM in general?

Probably by listening to all different genres 24/7. I've never gotten bored of EDM, probably because I just don't have time to listen to it enough for it to become trite. But I think it would take a LOT to make all genres of EDM boring

Seeing it's quite rare to find a person who'd actually like all genres of EDM...

Was I? How does that have to do anything with anything anyway?

My first post was on topic and for the moment I felt like I don't want to add anything more. If you've got problem with that, well... it's your problem. I was just surprised with what you said 'cause what I said wasn't meant to sound harsh.

Ehh, give out your own opinions instead of depending on mine in the future.

Not that many are significantly different.
You've got your techno that goes UNN TSS UNN TSS UNN TSS
Then you've got your trance that goes MMM TSS MMM TSS MMM TSS
Then you've got your house that goes BOOM-TSS-CLK-TSS-VWMM-BOOM-TSS-CLK-TSS
Then your breaks that go like BOOM CHK UNN BOOM BOOM CHK
... and so on in that fashion

And how many people actually do that?

I actively listen to EDM anywhere from 2 to 8 hours a day for the past 4-5 years and I still have yet to become bored of it.
Only subgenre that I became bored of is trance, not because I listened to too much of it, but because of low quality productions nowadays.

You don't have to like all of them, it's enough to fine just one that's good enough to set you straight for at least another year to come.

You sound like a person that calls EDM simply 'techno'.

...and when you've found the one you like and already worn it out?
