Its not nonsense to rip people off with a crappy ass horror film and try to pass it as something viable or meaningful. This film just stank. I would rather have Malcolm McDowell shoot me 3 times just for watching it. Oh, and I have house of a 1000 corpses and it sucks too. At least this was coherent. Sorry there Rob Zombie acolyte, but this film tanked.

Even Rottentomatoes agrees:

Variety seems to agree:

CHUD seems to agree:

Movie Boy seems to agree also:

IGN has given the movie a 0 out of 5. I have never seen a movie rated so low.

Basing opinion on other people's movies reviews is stupid.

Anyway, I just finished watching it and let me first say I hated Rob Zombie's other movies and have never seen the original Halloween but given the lame Ring type 'horror' movies that have been flooding theaters for the past few years, Halloween is a breathe of fresh air. I was really impressed to see that a movie I had dismissively labeled as a typical slasher flick went deep into character development. Really, what else is there?

The murders are the climax; they need a reason to occur and you have to be guided into the right frame of mind first to see why everything is happening. It uses good story telling, for this genre, to pack some scares and build up the suspense through the whole movie. Another thing I'm really glad they didn't do was over the top violence and guts spilling everywhere. It was just graphic enough to shock but not make me roll my eyes.

So, overall, a good way to waste some time and an excuse to see some bitches get iced.

I just got home from seeing this waste of time
I wish I had seen your reviews first!
I hated it, and agree with everything demon says
It was pathetic, a waste of time and a low blow to the original
=(

Rating
-600/10

A shame you didn't see my review ahead of time and had to subject yourself to this crap. But now you know! and I am glad to see that you feel the original is much better. by the way, I love your rating!!

First of all, thanks for the first remark. And yes, coming in and bashing a movie opinion for the sole purpose of just doing it is stupid and a waste of time.

Although I came back not liking the movie, that's just my opinion. If you like it then so be it. Its a time filler, thats all. I am not gonna sit here and pester you because you felt differently about the movie.
