Bingo.

I personally use Pioneer HDJ1000's aswell, They have good isolation, good quality, and a good price tag.

But my personal preference would be HD25's because
a)The pioneer's strangle me when i have them on my neck (Cause there big and im a little shorty-ass)

b)hd25's have everything you could ask for - And most pro DJs choose them.. Great isolation, Crisp Sound qaulity, You could seriously wear them for hours and not want to take them off.

Bad news is: Price tag is a bit steep .. But you get that. Theres a UK store that sell them for a really good price and do international shipping.. Chemical Records i think its called.. Check that place out.

hd25?

This is one of the most personnal thing in DJing and this is, I guess, why all DJs bring their own headphones to an event.

Anyway, I use the Pioneer HDJ1000 with my setup

my Senheiser HD280's are pretty chic, and were exceedingly cheap compared to the dire Stantons I had beforehand.

I use the Sennheiser HD25 headphones when I play out, the isolation is really good and they were actually designed for people in the sound industry he need to be able to focus on what they are doing even in noisy situations. Often you will see the sound guy with a TV crew wearing them as well.

That said, they might take a little getting used to and don't confuse them with a headphone that will sound great even when listening to music as they have a flat response. They are very crisp and the sound definition is excellent. It's not for everybody though.

I used to use the Sonys that break easy, didn't mind the sound in them and they actually lasted quite a long time for me.

The Technics DJ headphones are crap in my opinion, Over priced and don't deliver on the sound, very muddy.

Pioneers are good but again it's the breakage aspect that puts me off.

Sennheisers also have spare parts so you can actually replace stuff that breaks on them. The useage from them will far outlast that of normal headphones.

cheers
Nem

My HD25s are about 4 years old. Ok so I have had to change the pads on them once and the cable too but it was a lot cheaper than having to by a new pair. And I use them a lot more than once or twice a month.

Besides, the same could be said for having a set of Sony 700s for two years, now they really do break easily if you compare the two. The Sennheiser are easily the most durable of the lot. But some people don't like the way they feel.

People just look for different things in headphones that's all.

Cheers
Nem
