I bought mine off of eBay from China. It comes with the tools to do it, and it was actually a better battery than what orginally came with my Mini.

I had the first generation Mini which came w/ the smallest battery (like 800MaH or something like that) and i Upgraded it with a 1600MaH battery.

THree are places that will do it for you like www.irepair.com ($39.99 and they will install it for you I believe).

There are quite a few other stores that will do it to. Just google ipod repair + Toronto or something. You could probably even buy the battery online and go to like an electronics repair store and they will install if for you if you don't feel comfortable doing it.

Pfft! It's a $100 Apple Store credit so Steve still gets to keep their money! Still, it's a nice gesture.

Store credit, haha, lame. Yeah, I know it's more than anything Palm or RIM or Sony Ericsson would do, but it still requires you to pony up more cash to Apple in order to get the "refund".

Of course the hollowness of it really doesn't matter to the hipsters - they're going to be pissing thousands more dollars away to Apple regardless, so they'll still wet their pants over this.
