There is no set number for tonearm height since it would depend on how thick your slipmats are as well as on the cartridge. You should adjust the height so that the little flat part where the needle comes out is parallel with the record.

Just in case you don't know, you can make sure that 33 1/3 rpm is really 33.3 by looking at the little dots on the platter. The red light shines on them and at exactly 33.3 they should appear to be stationary. It should look like the little dots are going past the bigger ones. If you want to be specific, make sure 33.3 dots go past the big ones in a minute.

Is this common knowledge? I was pretty amused when I found this out.

Same goes for 45rpm.

hi i have ortofon nightclub onessss with the pitch thing ive been changing it heaps and come to the conclusions theres about half a second to a second delay if i change the pitch real quick however if i bring it down slowly you can hardly tell (real slow tho) sorry i know jspot answered this before but is that about right?

btw i have a mtx x3 mixer nothing special but its got most of the basics on it i think it retails for like 600 aus but i got it of ebay

I gots a quezzie:

I've got Numark TT-100's (in my sig) and I've had the anti-skating set to 0 and the counter-weight set to 2.5 (so the needle doesnt fly if I scratch or do a pull-back).

What is anti-skating and what should I set it to?
And will the weight being 2.5 damage my vynil?
