Freak u just had bad luck with yours I guess, I've had mine for over 3 years now and only had to replace the chord. I use em almost everyday. As long as u baby em u should be fine. Anyone having breaking problems with the new ones?

I ended up getting the 7506s...and I can't say how happy I am with the choice. While they don't sound as "full" or have the bass response of the Pioneers, they still sound fantastic and clean.
I guess I'm on the bandwagon now too...7506s are THE choice, hands down. For their value, I don't think any other cans can compete.

Yeah, the 7506's are great cans, love em. But right now Im using the Ultrasone DJ1 headphones, theyre not used a ton which is unfortunate but theyre great. They isolate great, theyre loud, and I love the sound.

Myself being one of them.....

I picked up the 7506 last week and I'm quite happy with them.

Although the Pio's seem to have a bigger punch, the Sony's overall just make way more sense. 1000 times more comfortable, and a hell of a lot lighter too. I hated how small the ear holes on the Pioneers were. I'd use them for listening on my computer for less than an hour and would notice a lot of discomfort when taking them off.

Fuck those Pioneers.... they look pretty, sound good... but they break and are pretty much as comfortable as wearing a pair of metal ear muffs.

I could have told you this...

7506 just plain rocks in terms of comfort. Use them with my mp3 player almost everyday. (because 7506 > most headphones must be reinforced to tell people from buying crappier headphones)

bah, whatever yohan.....

when i bought the pioneers i was just starting out, therefore - looking 'cool' was rather important.... until i went from 'cool' to 'tool' when the pio's snapped in two pieces in the middle of a gig.

Nobody looks cool wearing those pioneers, not even Zabiela
