Oh you still need the Dongle to run logic 7... But they will run next to each other. Also if you have any previous sessions from 6 or earlier they need to be opened and saved in logic 7 before they can be opened in 8.

Well I don't want to upgrade. I resist change. But eventually for the sake of asking a question and getting an answer and not a "Logic 7? Who has that" I'll have to upgrade eventually.

I've got a plain old white MacBook 1.83 (intel) w/ a gig of ram... is Logic 8 going to make it cry like a bitch? Or do you think it would run well enough? (1gb is the minimum ram requirement).

And for a starters it looks and SOUNDS really really good
