Thats nuts.

I was an avid coke drinker for the longest time, then I made the switch to diet close to a year ago. Which wasn't hard by the way. Took about a week to get used to, and that was it. But after listening to many negative things like this. I have officially jumped on the iced tea bandwagon as of 2 weeks ago!

And its actually a good alternative as I read that tea contains a bunch of anti-oxidants.

I wish I could drink water for the hell of it, truth is, I just dont like it. Unless im dying of thirst, or im at the gym.

The calories from the soda aren't the real problem. It's the fact that once you guzzle down approx 50g of sugar (10 teaspoons) your insulin levels spike and then crash, making you feel lethargic and inducing severe cravings for more simple carbohydrates which in turn spike and crash again. Your metabolism also slows to a crawl and goes into fat storage mode.

Avoid sugar and refined carbohydrates to maintain blood sugar stability and you'll feel better, eat healthier with less cravings, and look better.

I drink 1 gallon of water throughout my day, have been doing this since June, really noticed that it controlled my appetite and I have lost weight, no more soda for me. The only downside is the many times I have to go to the restroom, (I am just glad that I work at a place that doesn't care if I get up constantly)

My issue was the caffeine at first, so I went to sprite. Then I went to water. My friends think I'm strange when I say that water is fine when we go out... that is if i'm not having a beer.

Anyway, it's amazing how much better you feel by just drinking water, and the switch wasn't really that hard. Totally worth it.
