I think parents should have the right to decide wether they want the responsibility of taking care of a person born with such conditions or not.

so once you can see the baby for yourself, it automatically becomes a higher life form than a fetus? and more worthy to live?

this is the sort of mentality that makes people who would never be able to hunt or kill an animal for themselves feel ok with eating meat.

cover your eyyyesssss

as for me personally, i believe that parents should be able to end their childrens lives whenever they see fit. as long as they do it themselves.

No not at all, but thank you for ASSuming.

I think there is a certain stage in which the conception is not a living life form to be "killed".

*sigh*

If you are interested in reading what my opinion is in regard to this topic, you can feel free to do a search for it... because it has been discussed in great length before. To be frank, I can't be arsed to argue about it again.

i often wondered what i would do if i had a severly disabled baby.. but after having a baby i know i would keep it because it would still be a piece of me and to discard that would be a terrible mistake.

obviously you have no idea what it means to be alive.
sperm are alive. germs are alive.
they can all be killed.

but i understand people like you can only feel empathy for things they can see, communicate, and relate to.

who will take care of him once you are gone? will his life be fulfilling or full of challenges (unwanted ones)... its a difficult subject with no correct answer. truly scary to think politicians are making these sort of decisions, but i guess someone needs to.
