Agree, I just wish those Bastards at Sky wouldn't call it 'Soccer AM'...

Don't know if it's the same thing, but it's a pretty common injury. The downside for me was that it required an arthroscopic surgery, but it's outpatient and a very quick recovery.

Hope you get your damage sorted out quickly.

Hmm.. I don't think (and hope) this is the same thing. The initial injury was nowhere near my knee after all, and I think the pain I'm feeling has probably just come on because I have been walking in a different way to compensate for the pain in my thigh.

However, this feels so different to any ache or pain I've ever had in my knee before, so the alarm bells have been raised a little bit. It's the feeling of my knee caving in that's most disconcerting.

Yeah - I know that feeling rather well, when I got hurt, it basically felt like as soon as I put any weight on my left leg my knee would just buckle.

At least you're getting it looked at tomorrow, so regardless of what diagnosis Internet/c0r M.D. gives you right now, you're going to actually get it sorted out quickly.

Yes. This shit crossed my mind; but I have no idea how that sort of thing happens or why. Is it something that just happens to some people, or does it come on because of an injury? The mind boggles - Which is why I didn't mention it for fear of sounding thick at making such a suggestion.

Why do people get fluid in their knee?

That, I do not know.

I know I heard people saying they had to drain fluids from some body part but i wasn't quite sure if it was the knees.

Did you try googling that??
