I like the look of the automation lanes, 64 bit is just to keep up with sonar, all the enhancements to the built in effects and instruments mean nothing to me, I only use the ping pong delay The better hardware integration looks good too, although I don't currently need it.

I really would like to see track folders, thats important for large scale projects and to make like truly professional. Other than that, what more can we ask for?

Exactly, that's what i was hoping for, too. Or at least a function to hide tracks, to make the handling of the mixer in the session few more convenient.

The described new features do not really bring any advantages for me

So, I just got a chace to check out the official site, and I saw something which no one had mentioned here yet, which the ability to change time signatures! This was the one thing which had me tempted to move to cubase/sonar for a while there, so its good to finally see it!

Some nice new features/improvements. Would've loved to see:
- folder tracks
- bezier curves (heck any curves)
- absolute input for them nasty automation dots (read somewhere on the ableton forum many moons ago that they were considering this)
- snap to grid automation. although there is a small workaround for this, it would be nicer to have a snap for individual points
- not entirely important, but dualscreen support would be ace

Anyway, for me the only improvements are multiple automation lanes and the drum track.
But maybe they'll surprise us with some 'supah siekret' stuff later on.

- farris
