Most of these things in a track car are ultimately just intrusive and crappy, then they break down and cost $1000's to fix because it's made by engineers with too much budget and no one knows how to fix it except some hermit on a mountain, on another continent... who will also charge through the nose.
They have their place though, keeping crap drivers on the road who get their licences in cornflake packets and keeping mechanics servicing at warranty point of sales centres from getting too bored.
