But how can you tell if you like it from a lower bitrate? The lower the bitrate, the crappier it sounds.

Had a listen in the car running around for work this morning and while it's better than anything they have done for a while it's still very very same same imo. As a band they have such a broader range of sounds and gears yet it all ends up sounding like folk music. There are some great sounds and some interesting instrumentation but there is a heap of filler too imo. Going to have another listen over the weekend at home and see whether my first impressions are altered.
