Czar the regular club is small-ish, however Benassi will be playing in the recently remodeled Imperial Theater. If any of you were around back in the day when it was Pleasuredome, the Imperial Theater was the main room with the birdcage and everything.
This room is pretty big and has a catwalk you can climb up on, the normal DJ booth, a stage (which i'm assuming Benassi will be on), 2 bars, its own bathrooms and is a very nice venue for something like this. The only thing it doesn't have is couches or anything like that. There are some chairs/stools around the bar but thats it.

Yea, the Imperial Theater is not bad at all, I was there for Icey a few months back when they remodeled it. However, they do have this one regular there called the Senator, he's basically some 50year old dude who runs around in a night gown and a thong. That pretty much sums up Ybor for you.
But i heard Benassi spin a couple when he used to come to this event by my house in tampa called south beach sundays fairly recently, I thought his sets were pretty good.

hmmm sounds like it might be worth it to stop by. Boogienights and epdarks, czar = 2 blocks from my apartment.... be nice to know how much the cover is though, maybe I'll venture down later and find something out. That would mean facing Ybor on a Thursday night!!! ekkk, i'll put a helmet on

We got lucky and found $10 tix, sorry we couldn't hook you up raven.
Got there @ 11. The first opener (mohawk) was laying down some nasty electro. Laid down a sick Doors remix. Second opener was incredible too. Benassi opened w/ Deadmou5 - Jaded into a Prydz track which I forget. Continued to kill it until close. Closed with some siiick vocal track and then a weird remix of Satisfaction (turned out ok actually).
The imperial theater/Czar is the sickest venue in Tampa, far none. Best sound in the city.
New respect for Benassi, not to be missed. I will get some vids up soon.
