hahaha, i know, i see it every two seconds at this leaf forum i post at. i always roll my eyes at it.

game 7 is going to be an event, even the airhead girls at my work who don't know where the neutral zone is located were talking to me about how much they hate the islanders "and stuff". game 7 of any stanley cup playoff series is the greatest entertainment on tv barnone. i can't wait till tomorrow night, i'm going to smoke a huge pile with my buddies, order 3 pizzas, drink brew and watch a classic game. game 6 was intense, game 7 is going to be insane.

Gary Roberts in the 3rd overtime. What a game. I'm glad I stayed for the long haul and watched it. Game notes:

- the 4th line for Ottawa, they played some extremely solid shifts in overtime while Toronto went with 3 lines. their ability to cycle the puck downlow and create chances is huge while the top players could rest.
-Joseph was his usual brilliant self
-Tucker kept up the intensity all game, landed some heavy bodychecks and was dangerous all game, potting a goal early on and hitting the post late in the game.
-Roberts led the way physically earlier on and put it home for us. Our teams captain in the absence of Sundin. Can't say enough about him. Pure professional
-McCabe put in another workhorse effort on the blueline. 50 minutes +.
-Pilar looked nothing like a farm player and played extremely poised and dangerous all game. Our best pinching dman without a doubt, and a superb passer. He'll be a regular on this club even when everyone's healthy.

can't wait for game 3.

heh yeah i know...i was kinda depressed when they let mccabe go. i knew he would be good. same with bertuzzi. oh well all those trades worked out pretty well for both vancouver and toronto. we have jovocop, ohlund, sopel and hopefully bryan allen next year to anchor the D. plus, we finally have that true power foward we've been looking for.
