Toronto will Never get an NFL team. Unless all the other cities in the states that dont have one (Vegas for example) pass up on the oppourtunity to get one. And if that happened it wouldnt happen for another 5-7 yrs. Min.

Bills are not moving to Toronto and neither is a regulated NFL team coming here. The Bills just want to have a second venue for couple of games a year thats all to attract more sponcers and revnue. Just like NFL is planning games in Europe, this is almost the same thing. Before Bills could even think about having a game in Canada they would have had to ask NFL and we all know that NFL isnt run by a bunch of idiots. Out of all the leagues, NFL by far is the most organized and successful. Also NFL is not solely run on media contracts. Check out the attendence and ticket prices of it's regular season games. These folks make decent coin. I think alot of you are just quoting that radio station dude's add on TV (whatever his name is lolz)

So here is to the Bills and the NFL. I would love to see few NFL games in To. Maybe one day the Saints would come visit too

If the NBA put the Raptors here (the Grizzlies were a mistake), the NFL can put a team here. And the Raptors were put here when the NBA's popularity was on fire - it wasn't a poor business decision.

The state of the dollar now - and into the foreseeable future - also favors a Toronto NFL team being able to handle the financial burden of being in the NFL business (which was always an issue in the past).

i heard today on Sportsnet that there's a chance of the team comin to toronto for a couple of seasons cuz they want to put a dome in buffalo. imo i dont think itll happen. i think buffalo will move but not to toronto.

The Fan also reported tickets would be done via lottery, with first crack going to Argos and Ticats season-ticket holders, then Bills season-ticket holders. The average price would reportedly be C$250 a game and fans would have to purchase all eight tickets and pay for them upfront. In October, Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr. asked the NFL for permission to play eight home games in Toronto over five years, beginning in 2008. Buffalo would play one regular-season contest each year at Rogers Centre, with three exhibition contests sprinkled in over the five-year span. The plan, Wilson said, was to an attempt to expand the Bills market as well as its fan base by playing games in a more vibrant Toronto marketplace. The hope would be that playing games in Canada might result in more Canadian businesses purchasing the high-end seats at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills attract a solid group of fans from southern Ontario -- between 10,000 and 15,000 per game, depending on the opponent. Metro Toronto boasts a population of about five million people, compared to just 1.25 million for the metro Buffalo area. Another factor, too, is the strength of the Canadian dollar and the health of the southern Ontario economy compared the economic sluggishness currently plaguing Western New York. That has prompted many to see the Bills' plan as their first step towards relocating to the richer, more financially appealing Toronto marketplace. Wilson, 89, fanned those flames last summer when he announced he wouldn't sell the Buffalo franchise in his lifetime but that it would be sold the highest bidder upon his death. Talk of the NFL coming to Toronto has existed since the 1970s. But the combination of Wilson's statement, the Bills' playing regular-season games at Rogers Centre, the strength of the Canadian dollar and deep pockets of the Toronto NFL group headed up by Ted Rogers and Larry Tanenbaum has many believing the NFL's arrival here is inevitable. Cynamon and Argos co-owner Howard Sokolowski obviously think so, too. They reportedly spoke to CFL commissioner Mark Cohon and the other league owners about buying an NFL franchise for Toronto to ensure the Argos' long-term survival in the city. The overwhelming belief is that if the NFL does come to Toronto, it will not only spell the end of the Argos and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, but ultimately kill the CFL. But in November Cohon said he has a strong line of communication with Goodell and that the NFL commissioner's top priority is protecting the CFL's eight member franchises.

NFL would be very successful in Toronto especially with a loyal fanbase. It really wouldn't surprise me if Toronto eventually became the new home of the Bills.

They are not moving here. (at least not until we begin using the AMERO and that whole tv contract issue gets fixed) Im not particularly excited about the idea of them playing here on a consistent basis. A game here and there over the next few years to showcase some of the teams the NFL has is fine.

I think their is a no-tailgating law in toronto. That is honestly a part of the football ritual when attending a home game. And even if (never gonna happen) that law was ammended just for the bills.... Where are you going to accomodate 60000 fans outside the rogers centre hmmm????

Second....

despite what most people think...I don't even think Toronto is a 'hometown' for the bills. I know more Chicago (they're alright) Dallas (damn cowboys) and Pittsburgh (puke in my mouth then swallow and puke again) fans that reside in the gta than Buffalo fans.

Third....

Their are several markets in the US that are much more suited for an NFL team. (I have no idea how LA couldn't keep a team while San Fran and San Diego and Oakland can)

Fourth...

Toronto already has a team that dissapoints constantly to no end.....

Even when they had the Raiders and the Rams, LA is more of a college football town. They're religious with USC and UCLA football.
