I agree that his older sets were better and had more flow. A possible reason I see for the decline in good tracklistings is when a DJ gets attached to a label (whether he starts one or is signed to one, or whatnot), he invariably ends up playing more and more of the label releases.
Sure, this may or may not be a good thing, but labels tend to have the same style of sound, which leads to less variation within sets.
