when my auntie was learning to drive, the same guy who taught my mum taught her. on about the third week, she came home upset, showing my grandparents her hands on which he'd written "left" and "right" - she knew them but when she was trying to think which was which whilst trying to learn the driving, she kept going the wrong way

Jake. was the girl hot ? You so could've taught her some 'stuff' that she didn't know!

and finally. I'm glad i wasn't home-schooled simply because my parents were redundant enough when i was taught by the state schools, so without that I'd probably know nowt.

Are all home-schooled kids so fucking weird? Anyone know of any that aren't?
depends on the home schooler. it can be really good, if you can balance a good teaching with a proper social life.

I only ever knew 1 person that was home-schooled, and all he did was swim for 2 hours everyday. Needless to say, he was ripped (and only 15).

yah school is for social skills, if youre home schooled you'll lack this unless you're super popular in your society.

Bingo. You learn nothing important from the high school program - but you learn the most important lessons of your life in high school, outside the classrooms.

In most cases, I think home-schooling is pretty irresponsible. Teachers often receive some training, and it's not like they aren't constantly reviewing the subjects they teach. They are, and they do have some understanding of what they're saying - even the misguided ones, when they're misguided, can be corrected by other teachers in higher grades. Also, it's important to work on your social skills when you're a kid. The only person I know who home-schools their children is a religious zealot who is probably indoctrinating her kids more than anything else.

Do these people really think they can do a better job than all other teachers?
