and finally. I'm glad i wasn't home-schooled simply because my parents were redundant enough when i was taught by the state schools, so without that I'd probably know nowt.

I only ever knew 1 person that was home-schooled, and all he did was swim for 2 hours everyday. Needless to say, he was ripped (and only 15).

yah school is for social skills, if youre home schooled you'll lack this unless you're super popular in your society.

In most cases, I think home-schooling is pretty irresponsible. Teachers often receive some training, and it's not like they aren't constantly reviewing the subjects they teach. They are, and they do have some understanding of what they're saying - even the misguided ones, when they're misguided, can be corrected by other teachers in higher grades. Also, it's important to work on your social skills when you're a kid. The only person I know who home-schools their children is a religious zealot who is probably indoctrinating her kids more than anything else.

Do these people really think they can do a better job than all other teachers?
