ah makes sense now.. I'm suprised that you are clocking them 24/7.. if you got a wire to a solar pannel you might be able to save energy costs unless inclusive and won't balance out (another potential hobby project)
also do you find you get better results giving them light 24/7 or do you just partially extend the light cycle - or are you keeping it regulated etc..
I'm wondering how the growth effects respiration. I know from info I've read on Hemp growing that there are respiration cycles for the plant, and light cycles are various depending on the growth stage, and desired potency if grown for THC content.
Is it the same with cactus and salvia? Is there an idea light s cycle.. and in this case does it happen to fall into your sleep pattern.. once again just a friendly question as I'm curious about how to grow Salvia.. it is legal to grow and use in canada as far as I'm aware.. and was considering growing it to experiment with it's stated effect.
Do you grow to seed, is it legal to ship.. and would you consider sending seed in post, if it is possible/legal to do so.. I'm not sure about legality of shipping seed in mail.
There are sites like this to buy from as well. but it just naturally occured

it also just occured to me that I could use a light in absence of a window.. hmm. |
I'll be setting it up on a 18/6 cycle. I do believe most plants require some down time. Hemp need a 12/12 cycle to flower. If I recall correctly, cacti gets no benefit from the extra 6 hours on a 24/0 cycle. Salvia divinorum doesn't produce seeds (very rare cases it does). Instead, people propagate them through cuttings. They are legal to ship in the mail. I can ship you out a cutting. Most vendors grossly overcharge for salvia. I'd also be happy to answer any more questions.
