Where can i find recent tracklists?

you mean , where can you find the manzone and strong tracklist, they play the same set week in week out, these guys are easy to love at first, they play a nice mix that can get everyone moving ( edm enthusiests and just casual clubbers) but wow, i heard play the same tracks in the same order on more than one occasion this summer.

lol, you just took them off my God like pedestal I put them on. These guys and VJ really impressed me, Grondin for Montreal's local.

i can tell you first-hand that you're wrong. they do not play the same tracks in the same order. as for playing new material every week, they do but there is only so much GOOD new material released each week that is even worth playing. and when you're playing 7 hour sets every saturday, it is quite easy to play the same songs that you played the week before.

I would imagine that if you were in M&S shoes and know that you have a devoted following and pressure from the club to maintain your following, you don't stray and experiment too much with new tracks on a weekly basis. You can do it every so often but if it takes away from your sound...

they play new released and promo tracks every week. ive often seen them download the tracks and test the levels/quality before burning it to cd and bringing it to the club. its just that i doubt you can find 7 hours worth of new tracks from beatport or djdownload that fit the specific genres you play every week. also, before 2am they play more mainstream stuff for that type of crowd. after 3am is when the beats get more "underground". between 2-3am is when the transition begins.

edit: also, if you have heard them play at comfort zone you will also notice their style is quite different. they play to suit the crowd/venue.

nice. I'd be interested in seeing that process (downloading, testing)almost as much as getting down to their beats.

^ i always prefer their opening! they always play some great tracks in that period, but yah, in that 2-3 range, sometimes they play good underground, but most of the time its boring and repetitive.

i'll agree though on the above post that manzone and strong are great when you hear them on a monthly basis, but if you keep going week after week, they stay pretty much the same. Although its obviously impossible to stay within a certain style keeping it fresh week after week, there are lot of great older songs that you never hear anymore that i'm sure would be more than welcomed by club goers.

that is true, you can dig up stuff even as old as 15-20 years if you wanted to. Severed Head - All Saints Day.. tell me if that wouldn't work today, song is 18 years old!

I didn't realize it until I started working with them so much, but they are probably the most versatile DJ's in the city.

Granted there are certain clubs/nights/times where you just have to play a certain way, but I've seen these guys throw down every thing from deep vocal house, to deep dubby groovey house, to electro house, to full on tribal, to techno, to chicago house, to tech house and everything in between.

Manzone & Strong are pro's.

The same can be said for any DJ, anywhere in the world, bedroom DJ or "superstar DJ"

They can lay it down however and whenever they feel fit.
