Hm..i donno anymore..On the one hand all of you keep saying how good the GU guys (sasha digweed warren etc.) can MIX on the other hand i remember the thread about the "easiest genre to mix" where the majority pointed out that is is THEIR style that is the easiest one..
Kinda paradox?
What I think: I dont care whats good or hard to mix, and mixing in general isnt the most important thing (as for the precise beatmatching). Its more to ability to take you on a journey..Like on a ship where the dj's the captain
Good captains: Tiesto, AVB, Ferry, Oakenfold, sasha, digweed, warren
Best voyage: Armin van Buuren : Bundaries of Imagination

Thank you guys for interesting replies!!
I do agree with most of you guys ! GU series / Northern exposure series are quality albums( With amazing mixing )
Its funny that most of DJs you guys mentions are progressive DJs !
Progressive RULZ but easier to mix as well !!

3. Carl Cox or Sasha
Maybe prog tracks do not have as much going on inside them as trance tracks do, just slow, uplifting builds. That makes them easier to beatmatch, even on the fly. Some trance tracks have so much going on even towards the end that you have no idea what to cut off and what to fade in- it's a mass orgy.
Having said that, I must admit that Judge Jules is a pretty decent mixer. As much as I'd hate to say it.

i agree. it's nearly impossible to tell when one song ends and another begins.

sometimes super seamless mixing is good. but sometimes i like to "hear the mix"... not like, screwups and double beats, but like some nice bass drops, and quick cuts. gives it some energy... so the crowd knows what the dj is doing, kindof like an interaction between dj and crowd. but it has to do alot with the style of music played as well.
