Modern trance is some of the most superficial music in the world. I can't imagine it affecting somebody profoundly.

I can hang on to vocals forever! I hope... That stuff really makes you super sensitive to everything. You'll be one happy SOB even if a car hit ya. It's okay dude.. it was my fault.

A serious question:

How long have you been listening to EDM, specifically *shudder* vocal trance?

Oh, I figured that I wouldn't want to be associating with that sort of crowd. But I came to a conclusion that not all trancers are the same and the ones that are nice are worth staying for.

about 16 months or so... Started spinning it about a year ago. Just got started producing. Trying things out, but it takes too damn long. In 16 months, I seriously have listened to a shit load of EDM. That’s another reason to give it a break. =|

Trance is what made me start turning synthesizer knobs...

Trance has caused me to experience more electronic music than any other genre from sheer curiosity, or experimentations by the listened-to-artist...

I have used trance as an emotional numbing agent during my adolescence, and a "refreshing" agent after a work day from hades.

Trance has probably killed bunches of my brain cells... I have never been to a club, but some of my hearing dbs have possibly dipped a tad from previous years of stupidity.

Trance makes me feel like I'm on a cosmic thrill ride in a grav-bike... while other times it just makes me wanna puke...

This paradoxal list is just the beginning...

Nonsense.

However, that's not to say that there's anything wrong with incorporating several styles of music into your daily repertoire. In fact, it's highly encouraged. Jazz, Hip Hop, Rock, etc ...

If you were truly interested in it you wouldn't just stop listening to it because you had 'listened to a shit load of' it. It could certainly be a passing phase if that's indeed your intention.

Like you had posted in an earlier (deleted) thread, apparently listening to trance music causes you to *gasp* listen to house music. Have you ever entertained the notion that listening to multiple genres of EDM is actually OK?

Take a break… Not stop… I just spun a set today because I was so pissed off at trance and the track list was all TRANCE… lol! =* I called the set “I HATE TRANCE” But seriously, I still have about 200 new tracks to go through and haven’t slept much since I got these tracks. Its time to turn this shit off... =)

it seems like if you listen to enough trance, you'll want to spin it sooner or later. Everyone that's into trance eventually would want to learn how to spin.

+1 on what you said about trance and not really wanting to spin it sometimes cause you listen to soo much about it.
