There's no way that amount of money needs to be made, especially on a night that Armin happens to play the worst set I've ever heard him play.... |
you cant blame them for making money. if no one went it would make sense to reduce ticket prices, otherwise why would they do it? but if they had armin in a bigger room, more people would have gone and they were gonna make even more money, but i guess there was nothing available for that date.
i knew it was gonna be packed after last time so i just didnt go.

Armin has indeed officially reached PVD and Tiesto status, of becoming too big to play in a club (at least in NYC)
Also remarkable that the weather didn't affect the turnout

No one's blaming anyone for making money.... But when there's zero risk of failure for a certain party, you HAVE to have some sort of balance between money to be made, that doesn't ask you to rip out your eyes or chop off a finger for entry, that makes your loyal customers happy... McDonald's could obviously raise prices and make more money, because people will always go to McDonald's, but that's just not how it works... There's a certain line that's crossed that goes from "getting your money's worth" to "getting owned". You can't put Armin in Sullivan Room and charge 100$, and so on... It doesn't work that way. |
it seems like it works. if they didnt have another place it makes even more sense, because if the tix were 20$ even more people were gonna try to go.
