I don't have any samples, but artists like Vibrasphere, MFG, Etnoscope, Yahel are pretty good examples of morning trance, imo. It all depends on who you ask, and I don't listen to much morning trance.

To the guy who asked about Eskimo, he's pretty hard full-on,

I say the definition of "morning psy" is very fuzzy. Some people use it to describe stuff played in the morning at outdoor raves, wich can be everything from (melodic) fullon to minimalistic progpsy...

It's like using the definition "dark psy", it can mean alot of styles as long as it's "dark", and what defines a "dark" sound? Scary? Agressive? Hard?

I like to connect styles with other genres like techpsy (PPS Project, X-Dream, The Delta, certain Koxbox tunes e.g), acid psy (i usually think Hux Flux and Osom are good examples, lot's of squeaky-squashy sound and crazy samples), and you could define tribal or ethno sounds aswell (Etnoscope, Jaïa, Juno Reactor) but that's a more vague definition since many styles can sound "ethno".

Yeah, hence the reason I said it depends on who you ask. The way I understand it, is usually music played ind the beginning or end of a set, when the sun is rising and people are exhausted from all the nighttime dancing. Mellow, trancey, but also energetic and emotional. Can you recommend me any other acts similar to Eat Static (Implant, Abduction), Hux Flux etc? I really enjoy that kind of music, and there might be some gems out there that I don't know of .

Indeed they are full on however you twist and turn it.
Infected have in their recent albums started to distinguish themselves as a crossover into rock. It all sounds pretty horrible. That kind of fusion wasn't appearant during their earlier albums. But even some of their latest stuff as Merlin and Becoming insane is standard full on.

Well I didn't see any rock influence in I'm the supervisor.

So that's probably only one song on Converting vegetarians... and pretty much the whole of their most recent album surely.

Morning Psy/Goa I recommend you California Sunshine's Nasha album. Full of energetic and emotional stuff. Chi A.D. has also quite a lot of morning goa tracks such as Spirit, Waverider etc. But for me Nasha is the best morning goa album ever (actually for me its the best album ever but only personal opinion )

I remember trying to get a hold of California Sunshine - Nasha before, but never got a hold of it. Where did you get it from? Also, you got any recommendations on like Eat Static and Hux Flux? Lots of acid, really twisted stuff, without getting too over the top, and 155 bpm.

Ohhh it was long time ago but I remember I got it from Greece when I was there. But now, I really have no idea from where you can find it. But the album really rocks trust me!

Also artists similar to Eat Static and Hux Flux... hmmm. On top of my head is Green Nuns of Revolution (they have wicked acid lines and really twisted melodies). Also I think you will like Rastaliens. Those 2 groups aren't producing morning tracks whatsoever.

Full on morning style is my favorite and is the type you can find in the mixes in my sig and in all of the previous Psyforces available for download on www.blackvortex.com

A lot of people hate and curse full on as being cheese and that is something I've never understood. Its simply a personal taste for a certain kind of music and nobody should ever be told what they like is cheese. Its all a matter of taste and nobody should ever been power raped for that. This type of lashing out has always pissed me off about the Isratrance and Psynews forums. They RIP full on to shreds as cheese and bullshit, yet just about ever huge psy event around the globe has tons of full on artists headlining. I think the elitest types speak the loudest and like to complain. For example, I had 2 of my sets, Psyforce Vol II and III played on di.fm months back. In the forums for the review, they basically ripped me a new a-hole because of the so called cheesey full on. Someone had the decency to stick up for me and at least remind these people that its a style of music and what they might find amazing, I may find shite. Bottom line, respect other people's taste in music, period.

funny, i always thought full on was the dark and techy psy normally played at a tempo of about upper.
if thats not full on than what is it?
mostly older stuff from like 2000 on comes to mind.
artists that come to mind
Etnica
Psysex
Aphid moon
Transient records
Spirit Zone records
dragonfly records
I have a sample I can upload
however keep in mind i havn't been in the marketplace for psy trance in some time, so the artist list could be misleading as to what i'm trying to describe.

no you are wrong.
full on is the type of psytrance which is very popular in Israel.
Some full on producers: Astrix, GMS, 1200 Mics, Alien Project, Space Cat and basically most of the stuff released on HOM-Mega and TIP.

I can understand why full on is slagged of as cheesy. It have during the last years taken a very poppy approach and started incorporating vocalists etc. In other words it have become the "vocal trance" of psytrance.
For instance take a listen to this.
Another reason is that there are so many producers just spitting out album after album. And the majority sounds very alike. There aren't that many that got a distinctive sound.
