I've been involved on the party side in DC for a couple years now and if I was not involved in a particular production I was quite privvy to what was going on behind the scenes.

I'll attest that the misfortunes that happened over the weekend were completely out of the ordinary. Our move to Ibiza has been more or less smooth sailing up until this weekend.

All of the major concerns have been voiced and are being dealt with head-on. I assure all of you that. This weekend we've got Eric Prydz and I can tell you that it's a) going to be a slamming good time and b) you won't have to worry about it being as crowded as it was for Armin, the party will be comfortable

Pete is definitely the man who can address all major concerns should there be any but feel free to use me as well and I will do whatever I can for you guys.

It's a no brainer that for Prydz it's gonna be less crowded so it's gonna be impossible to see if the problems have been adressed or not...I think that the correct action to take would be to at least refund peoples money or give them free entrance to Prydz...

As far as I'm concerned,,unless I become president I'd never set foot in DC..However,,a lot of my friends do like to go there and my concerns are for them.....

There is nothing wrong with DC's club scene, that shit would have happened anywhere else had it been the same circumstances. I heard it was pretty much just as bad at Pacha when he played. Armin is gonna draw a very big crowd and clubs and promoters need to learn to stop letting people in when the place is at capacity.

HAw HAw
fuck that noise
Ryan Elliott is playing the same night as Pyrdz (who I will admit, I was interested in seeing) at a much more chill place
WOOOO
I'm stoked

only in DC could you have a place named "Ibiza" where the house lights come on at 3am
travesty!

ok try to read it all if you care.

With DC you gotta pick and choose your moments.when i was younger and hadnt seen any of these dj's id go no matter how packed it was just cuz i wanted to see these people live that i enjoyed listening to.So if your young and have never seen these dj's or just havent seen the dj ever then it might be worth it to go out.for instance i went out to FUR to see sean tyas and he played for only an hour and a half and he knew he was only going to play for a limited amount of time and decided to let his warmup play when he should have went out there and played.no biggie tho.it wasnt packed and the music was great and i hadnt seen him so if he came back id go see him since im sure this time around he would play for 3 hours. Now on the flip side ive seen armin a ton of times.the last time it was so packed you could not move, so that was it for me.

same when PVD played there.i saw him knowing it was going to be packed and it was.and it was a disaster all the way around with PVD having to issue an apology on his site and vowing never to play at glow again(a promise which he broke later but whatever).

tiesto same thing.seen him tons.too packed last time.never again.

so far with ferry corsten its been good.pick your moments in DC and know what your getting into and you should be good.

Now you good news here is it looks like FUR has decided to start getting in DJ's that glow has been neglecting to bring in or bring back( Blank and Jones this saturday,The Thrillseekers,Andy Moor, and the return of Cosmic Gate in december)just to name a few.If they keep up this level of talent not to mention that nations "Buzz" is now at FUR on fridays were going to have some great events to go to between (hopefully) both places.which will benefit the club scene here drastically.there has been too much of a monopoly
in the club scene here since nations closed and it looks like FUR is not backing down from Ibiza and getting in major talent.Lets hope they keep it up going into 08 cuz its going to be a great club year between the clubs if they do!

long winded i know.but as a clubber you know that between this forum and the fur and ibiza forums along with what dj it is you should be able to know how your night is going to go.

hopefully.....

Oh I guess I forgot to explain WHY the coats ended up on the floor. Not that in any way was it the right thing to do but the coat rack broke and from what I understand the tickets went all over the place.

Ibiza still has a lot of coats so for anyone who is missing them they can call the club at 1877-IBIZA-07. In order to prevent this was happening again, in the winter months not as many people go on the roof. We will have roof entry/exit thru the International room and move coat check to a portion of the roof. When you enter the club coat check will be on your right up the stairs. They will that part of the roof covered with an enclosed tent and have coats there. This will make flow a lot easier, walk in the club, go up the stairs and check your coat. When you leave just get your coat on the way out instead of going thru the International room. It will be much more convenient.

Now, despite getting shut down at 3:30am everyone was able to enter by 2am with an exception of maybe 50 people who we talked to directly and told them how to get reimbursed for their ticket price.

The whole fire marshall incident certainly would not have happened if it weren't for a certain someone who gets off on calling the police anytime there's a line outside of Ibiza. I'm going to leave it at that.

ah yes the fur calling the fire marshall thing.ive heard that about 3 times now on different boards. im curious if thats true or not.cuz it could be a disgruntled patron also.hmmm.little bit of a war so far but nothing serious between the clubs but i think if fur keeps getting in the talent they are to rival glow's saturday lineup 2008's gunna be a bloodbath!

Really sad to hear this, sounds even worse than the NYC event... the first time I was ever in DC, in 2004, I saw Armin play at some club (Dream I think the name was? The first few floors were hiphop and the top was Armin) and it was a great experience, lots of friendly people and more than enough room to dance.

Me and my friends had a AWESOME time at Armin! Then again, we knew better than to check coats and got there early.

The scene in DC is blowing up! Many, many amazing DJ's.
